Cars, bikes, trucks, trophies and music…we’ve got it all! It’s going to be a busy weekend of racing at Cordova International Raceway and the weekend starts off right with the Friday Fun Night and Mobile Wiring Car Show. Friday, July 31st will begin with open racing for everyone from 5:30-10p that night, with the Mobile Wiring Car Show kicking off at 7pm. “The Mobile Wiring Car Show is open to classic to new and American to import this year. We’ve also added a bike class, so anybody can enter,” said Josh from Mobile Wiring. “We want to see as many entries as we can! Car Show people must be signed up by 8:30pm that night.” Spectators pay only $8 for the whole night and it’s only $5 more to enter the car show. In addition, the Mikey Jones Memorial Dragfest will kick off their weekend festivities with some live music starting at 7pm and the Ring of Fire Show put on by the Chicagoland Flame Throwing Cars at 9pm. “Cordova is in for a treat as well,” added Pat Jones, brother of Mikey Jones and coordinator of the Dragfest. “The Team Heat Jet Dragster will be making a pass Friday night around 9p to really kick off the festivities!”
