2015 Quick Series Shootout

The O'Reilly Auto Parts 62nd Annual World Series of Drag Racing will mark the climax of the 2015 Chassis Concepts and West Racing Heads Quick Series Shootout. The shootout pits the 8 quickest Top Dragsters and the 8 quickest Top Sportsman against each other with each side's winner advancing to run-off for an additional $500. Two races will be held that weekend with one race on Friday and another race on Saturday. The 2015 Championship is on the line with the World Series Points Finale on Saturday, August 29th. The first place 2015 Series Points winner takes home $1000 and a free Dyno Day Session at West Racing Heads!

Lou Rausch and Don Speer are currently in the lead, tied, with 118 points. Following in second is Anthony Layne with 85 points and then tied for third are both Bobby Ince and Scott Lindle.
"These guys keep stepping up the speed and it amazes me – it's a real challenge." said Lou Rausch. "It's a neat concept to run a car against a dragster. We're excited for the (World) Series."

Speer is also very excited for the World Series "BJ Verkler is coming over from Colorado with a potential 5 second dragster along with the anticipated debut of his brother, Rick Verkler's, new Firebird Top Sportsman Car."
