Oktoberfest 2015
 
This weekend at Cordova International Raceway will ignite the Fall season with thrills that will not disappoint with the return of the Ozark Mountain Super Shifters!  "We have a real good points battle going on," says OMSS Team Captain, Billy Leaf, out of Kewanee, IL.  "We currently have Justin Clark out of Columbus Junction, IA in the lead with a 1964 Ford Fairlane that that turns 9500 RPM, followed by myself (Leaf), Chris Schmitz out of La Porte City, IA with a 1981 Camaro and Jim Harden from Galesburg, IL with a 1972 Nova tied for third."  Leaf said in regards to the last OMSS points race of the season which culminates at CIR this Sunday. 
 
Started in 1992, Ozark Mountain Super Shifters are on their 23rd season and still going strong. OMSS expects to have around 30 cars this Sunday, including Scott Linder's Pontiac Grand AM built by RJ Race Cars that runs 6.90's at 201 MPH.
"We're really looking forward to Cordova, the track is very good to us and the Cordova people really support us as well," added Leaf.
 
Also this weekend, Oktoberfest will feature a Box/No Box race for $2500 on Saturday and the Points Bracket Run-off for the track "GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP" and an IHRA Iron Man Race on Sunday. This weekend will have something for all race fans that will be a "can't miss" for Fall racing action - make sure to mark your calendars!
