A personal note to the Summer Nationals sportsman racers:

First, I want to thank each and every one of you that attended the IHRA Summer Nationals event at Cordova.

As I have traveled to events throughout North America we (the IHRA) have experienced some challenges. However, some of challenges we, as IHRA, faced at the Summer Nationals were outside of anything ever expected. Those challenges coupled with some poor decisions resulted in operational expectations that did not meet my standards.  

Please understand that my goal is to not allow these internal mistakes to happen at future events and plan more wisely when circumstances beyond our control arise.  

I appreciate that you spent your time and hard earned money with IHRA at Cordova for the Summer Nationals and want to reassure you that I have personally reviewed the issues and will stop those from happening in the future.
