Exciting Weekend Coming Your Way!!!
This weekend is going to be an exciting one at Cordova Dragway Park.
We start Friday night with a Fun Night with open racing for anyone, then continue with a Midnight Mayhem open for all street cars and trucks. All Midnight Mayhem entries must be street legal with DOT tires and noise quieting mufflers. No motorcycles allowed to race after 11:00pm. There will be a Domestic vs Import Shootout with double payout. Mobile Wiring will be here for the dB Drag competition. If you think you have the best sound system sign up at their tent from 11:00pm – 11:45pm and the sound “draggin” starts at Midnight – for only a $5 entry fee. All of this fun along with the Flag Girl Contest and Smokey Burn-out Contest. Spectators are only $8 from 6pm – 3am.
Something new this year on Saturday is the Grudge, Inc produced Midwest Superbo
wl of Grudge Racing. Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 4:00pm. The grudge racing and shootouts will run until 10:00pm. It will be an exciting event and fun to watch – Adults are $20 and kids 12 and under are free. There is a $5000 to win Big Tire Shootout. Call Donya for more information at 708-288-9598.
To continue the weekend… On Sunday it is the Set It Off Drags 5!!! There is open testing and grudge racing for $40 from Noon – 5pm. Gates open at 10am and it is $20 for adults and free for kids 12 & under. They also a $5000 shootout for small tire cars. The flyer is linked on the CDP website on the schedule page. Fun for cars, bikes, and race fans of all ages.
