FINAL MIDNITE MAYHEM OF THE SEASON WILL BE A
"SPOOK-TACULAR" EVENT
The final Midnite Mayhem of the 2014 season this Friday will be a kick-off to a month long Halloween celebration here at CDP, starting Friday, and ending on Oct. 25th with Hallowierd XIX. We have joined forces with Bottoms Up Quad Cities Burlesque and two regional bands to make this Midnite Mayhem one to remember.
Along with all the usual excitement of a MM; (heads-up racing, flag-girl contest, burn-out contest, the Mobile Wiring Db drags, and the import/domestic shoot-outs) members of the BUQC Burlesque Troupe will be performing Halloween themed routines for everyone's enjoyment in the pavilion outside of Zoomies Pub. Performers include La Petite Boom, Betty Von Vandersnatch, Gypsy Le Moan, and Lilith St Scream. In addition to these performers, other members will be here also promoting their upcoming one night only show "Seven Deadly Sins" Nov. 1st at the Speakeasy in downtown Rock Island. For the first time ever at a Midnite Mayhem, live music will also be in the pavilion as the hard rocking bands Battle Red and Shadow Stone will each play a full set.
Also scheduled for Friday, the Mobile Wiring Race and Show event is now set for this Friday Oct, 3rd due to the rain out on Sept, 20th. The car show will take place during the Friday Fun Night with the top 25 cars receiving awards along with the Best of Show 1st place. Sound competition with db testing done by Mobile Wiring will take place during the Midnite Mayhem part of the evening. For more info go to their FB event page.
Staying with the Halloween theme, this Friday is also opening night of the Asylum of Mad Dreams haunted attraction on the grounds here at CDP. This "5 haunts in 1 location" has been scaring people for a number of years now here and is open every Friday and Saturday night from 7-1130pm throughout the month of October.
