Cordova Adds Contingency Sponsor for 2015

Cordova International Raceway is proud to announce a new contingency partner for 2015. DRE Engine Diapers out of Cerro Gordo, IL has come on board to provide Cordova's racers with the opportunity to win some cash and stay safe at the same time. "We are very excited to have Dennis Ridgeway and his entire DRE crew on board with us," said Bobbi Jo Cox, General Manager. "Their slogan of 'Keep Accidents in the Diaper, not on the track' fits in perfectly with how we feel about safety at Cordova."

DRE will be offering up $50 in contingency money after each 2015 Points Race to any Top ET or Mod winner who is using a DRE diaper and has the DRE sticker on their vehicle. "Safety is extremely important to us and to all the racers. The lower engine containment systems (diapers) keep oil and debris off the track which makes it safer for everyone. Putting a diaper on your car is much cheaper than replacing an entire racecar and helps with less track down-time for cleanups," Race Director, Bobbi Hansen said. Racers running 10.99 and quicker at Cordova International Raceway are highly encouraged to use a diaper on their vehicle in 2015, as it will become mandatory in 2016.

DRE owner Dennis Ridgeway added, "DRE Engine Diaper has been asked by Cordova International Raceway to help out their racers. We are glad to be able to be involved with Cordova and IHRA. DRE will give all racers at Cordova a 10% discount when purchasing a diaper and will also pay contingency to qualifying winners. We will also be at the banquet to answer any questions." Along with answering questions at the banquet, DRE will be giving away a free diaper that night. Plan on attending and we look forward to seeing you all there!
